While in Philly Friday afternoon, I made it a point to drag Richie and Benoit along with me to the Sweet Freedom Bakery. It is Philadelphia’s only completely vegan, gluten-free, allergen friendly bakery and everything we tasted was melt in your mouth delicious (and let me tell you, we went a little crazy tasting!).
We ordered some cinnamon sugar doughnuts, chocolate chip cookie sandwiches (some with chocolate icing and some with vanilla), a chocolate chocolate chip mint cookie sandwich, and banana coconut macaroon type cookies! Everything was to die for (I’m sad I don’t live closer, but if I did, I may really get myself into some trouble).
I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Heather, and she was supernice! It’s always so nice to be able to put a face to some fabulousness and this was a serious treat all around.
If you’re ever in the Philly area, this is definitely a stop worth making!
